8 Hurdle Jockeys to follow on the place market

This week’s system is based around 8 Handicap Hurdle Jockey’s to follow on the Betfair place market.

I tend to go through stages when researching systems and at the moment I am interested in finding ideas based around the place market.

This weeks was created using TJ Profit Finder.

TJ can give you a top list of jockeys or trainers based on over 30 different filter options and makes finding profit from backing, placing or laying quite easy.

Once you have a list based on your criteria you can then check out the results and even combine multiple jockeys or trainers into one system like I have with this weeks 8 Jockey place system.

In this case I started with about 15 jockeys that fitted my original criteria based on “P/L” and then picked the 8 I thought had performed the best.

Here are the results and daily selections


The results show a 34.98% strike rate and a ROI of 21.78.

You cannot expect the ROI to be very high at these prices and I think it probably quite good for the place market.

The strike rate is very up and down with last month being just 20% but this month as high as 50%.

The average winning price is also erratic with last month’s being really low at 0.57 but this months getting closer to the average of 2.61 (2.42).

The average number of selections are about 1 a day but you may find that sometimes you have more than 1 selection in a race.

This happened yesterday with “Tennessee Bird” (1st place price 2.38) and “Prince of Silver” (unplaced).
