A service which we have been looking at recently is Profit At The Races, an All Weather tipping service priced at £29.99 + VAT.

The front page of the service’s website shows the current profits tally for 2015 as 25 points and their last winner as being back in July.

It doesn’t bode well when the services own website is not up to date.

Profit At The Races offers selections by email detailing the race meeting, time of the race and the horse to be backed. There is no additional information or rationale as to why the horse(s) is the selection for the day. There are no selections for the racing on Sundays.

During the month of August we also had a further 10 days where there were no selections, meaning that we had just 16 days of selections during the month, with 57 horses selected.

Of those 57 selections we had a winning strike rate of just over 8.5% and showed a level stakes loss of over 30 points after deducting any exchange commission at 5%.

Our longest losing run was 23 bets, so we didn’t quite reach the depths of the worst losing run recorded on the service website of 35 bets however this losing run was actually worse than this even first appears. The losing run of 35 was actually a poor run of 72 selections only broken briefly twice by a 1.49 priced winning selection and a second 2.27 winning selection!

In fairness the service did turn things around, but as we have touched on before there is always a strong chance that you will fall foul of a long losing run with many services and there is a need to see these through if you are likely to make a return on your money.

In our review we had one occurrence where we had four horses selected in the same eight runner race, and sadly although we had half of the field we were still unable to find the winner.

Over the three months reviewed we received 157 selections, and of those 18 were winners and our betting bank suffered a loss of slightly over 44 points.

Based on the results during our period of review this is not a service we would recommend.

A new service we are currently looking at is Precision Sports Bets which comes from the Sportsworld Publishing stable.

Early results are promising from the small number of selections we have looked at to date with the bulk of the bets coming from horse racing, and we have made a modest profit of just over 3.50 points.
