Victor’s Monday Musings

This is the first of what will be a regular column, “Victor’s Monday Musings”, as I take over the Monday ‘hot seat’ from Dave Massey! (David will still be in his new regular slot from Tuesday to Saturday)

What can you look forward to in my “Monday Musings”? Well, it will be in two parts. In the first part; I will look back at the weekend’s big race action, highlighting the performance of the day and also see if there are any other horses that you should be adding to your trackers and could provide possible ante post betting opportunities for you. The second part will examine some key stats that you should have on your side over the coming months. However, this week rather than look at the weekend’s best performance’s, hard to pick between Cue Card and Sire de Grugy for me, I thought it would be useful if I gave you a little bit of background on myself:

I first got the horse racing and betting bug about 30 years ago and my hobby became a passion and then after a number of reasonably profitable years of betting I decided to take the plunge and in 2011, my hobby became a business as I became a full time professional punter and racing pundit with my own service Victor Value Racing. I tend to concentrate on the better quality races and love to solve the puzzles provided by those big field handicaps, whether on the flat or over jumps. I have also got more and more involved in using stats, especially trainer stats, in my everyday betting. Hence why there will be a section each week looking at some key stats.Read More »Victor's Monday Musings
