horse racingJust a quickie today.

We had a few questions after yesterdays post which I will answer today.

Basically they boiled down to two questions about starting out with small steps betting.

First question was how do we bet very small stakes?

Three options here, your local betting shop will take small bets.

Secondly most online betting accounts will take very small bets.

Third if you prefer to use Betfair there are numerous ways around the minimum stake rule.

This video shows how to manually place small stake bets – Betfair Minimum Stakes Video.

There are various software tools that will allow you to bet below minimum stakes, including Gruss Betting Assistant.

The second question is around what should we bet on.

The answer really is bet on anything that you know a lot about.

But by way of ideas…

Lay over bet horses – when a horse is hyped and has steamed in heavily there is usually no value left on the back, so use these as a source of lay bets.

Greyhounds – I always advise that people start betting with the dogs. There is a lot of action and whatever time of day you are free there is usually something to bet on. Also the form is straightforward and relatively easy to understand.

Systems – We'll touch on this later this week but for now consider our advertiser profitable Lays

If you downloaded the £900k plan and plan to follow it yourself then we'd love to hear from you either in the comments or by email.

Today's Selection

  1. Dave,

Just to add to your list of small bet takers, I know they don’t have quite the market of Betfair but BetDaq will take as low as 50p.
