There are a lot of Cheltenham Festival tips and profile services available.

And we will be mentioning some of them over the next two weeks.

But I promised that I would tell you about the source that I used in 2011 to win over £500 (£20 stakes) in the four days of the festival.

The analysis and selections came from my membership at the Betting School Insiders Club.

What they did last year and what they have done  again this year is to commission stats guru Mark Foley to compile a special report for the 2012 Cheltenham feast of championship horse racing.

In the report Mark has drilled down into the history books and has highlighted the significant trends relating to important factors such as the betting market, trainers, age and experience of the winning horses, and also the key trial races that have had a bearing on the outcome at the Festival.

This report is available to all Betting School Insiders Club. And during the festival the daily selections for each race will be provided to members.

Last year the key results were…

Day 1 – Tues 15th March (+4.03)
Highlights included – SPRINTER SACRE – 3rd 11/1 (went 1.31 I/R), REALT DUBH – EW advised – 3rd 17/2, REVE DE SIVOLA – EW advised – 3rd 9/1, HURRICANE FLY – Won 11/4, SIZING AUSTRALIA – Won 13/2

Day 2 – Weds 16th March (+8.87)
Highlights included – BOSTONS ANGEL- EW advised – Won 16/1, KUMBESHWAR – EW advised – 2nd 33/1

Day 3 – Thurs 17th March (-3.77)
Highlights included – BIG BUCKS – Won 10/11, JUNIOR – Won 10/3

Day 4 – Friday 18th March (+17.19)
Highlights included – FINAL APPROACH – Won 10/1, BOBS WORTH – Won 15/8, LONG RUN – Won 7/2

Total Profit/Loss +26.32 points
Return on Investment +28.61%
(to Betfair SP less 5% commission)

The sheer class of the horses taking part at this year’s Festival is likely to make punting a minefield, so what better way to get one step ahead of the crowd than by arming yourself with the key trends that will help you narrow the field down to the likely contenders.

Mark Foleys Cheltenham 2012 special report is available to download from the member’s area of the Betting Insiders Club website, and in addition to help those of you pushed for time, they will be applying these key factors to the entries of each race and providing the resultant selections to their members in the morning of each day of this magnificent Festival.

Captain Cardington 4.00 Lingfield 1pt win @ 11`2 Bet Victor

Travelled really well into the his last race when winning over 10 furlongs and won with a bit to spare in my eyes. The step up 2 furlongs should not be a problem judged on breeding.
