After I mentioned the Gruss Betting Assistant the other day we've had a few questions asking what other horse racing software we use…
Betting Assistant: As mentioned this is great for one click greening up of positions.
It also makes it easy to dutch selections and has a ladder interface for trading.
One of my favourite features is the ability to link it to an Excel spreadsheet and automate my betting.
If you know how to use formulas and macros in Excel then you can make BA automate your selections and operate a staking plan.
And much more limited only by your imagination. And it has a free trial.
Similar but different is Bet Angel this is a more expensive option. I don't use this currently but I understand it is faster.
Bet Angel also comes with some predictive tools to help you predict the way markets might move in play (Football & Tennis).
KIP Betting Bot: I like automated solutions and have made a lot of money using the KIP Bot.
This is a switch it on and leave it bot. It operates a number of systems (rules unknown to the user) and can be left for days or weeks to do its thing.
Greyhorse Bot: This is another that can automate your betting, but in this case you need a system or set of rules yourself.
These rules can be input to GHB using the available settings and the GHB left to run your system for you.
Bet Scheduler: I love the betfair SP facility, but if you are betting on other markets and you want the price just before the off then you need to be available to place the bet.
Nowhere is this more crucial than with greyhound racing.
I make a lot of bets on the dogs.
These markets are only made up a few minutes before the off and you really cant bet all your selections in the morning and then go out.
Unless you have the Bet Scheduler.
This software can be loaded with your selections in the morning and it will take the best price just before the off.
I use it everyday. Talking off greyhounds, I use the Bags Beater software to find my selections
