I've just been reading a very interesting article in the excellent Betting School Insiders Club members report.
I get a lot of winning angles from this monthly journal and highly recommend it.
The Insiders Club regularly run features on upcoming trainers where they try and identify trainers that are doing well who are yet to be be overbet by the mainstream public.
In this months report they have identified Charlie Longsdon.
Charlie has only been training for six years and has gone from 10 horses in his first year to over 70 currently.
He does particularly well in Bumpers and in Chases and he has one runner at the Cheltenham meeting today.
Hildisvini runs in the 12.15 and is a progressive horse. Currently priced at 11/1. If this was an 8 runner race then I would be interested in an each way bet. But as things stand I think it would need a little luck to win or run second.
Charlie also has Catch The Rhythm in the 3.20 at Bangor. This is a wide open race that Catch the Rhythm could win, but at 4/1 I don't think the value is there.
Last time Betting School identified an up and coming trainer to follow there were some big priced winners from the stats that they highlighted and I will be paying close attention to Charlie Longsdon's Chase and Bumper starts this season. But today I think I will turn to one of our many tipping contacts for today's selection.
