Sedgefield Colossus

Good morning all,

Having tried my hand at the Rasen Pick 6 Colossus yesterday (and got a few quid out of it) I fancy doing another one today as once again I've gone into a card into some detail, having done the comments for the Life for the Sedgefield card –

if you'd like my thoughts.

But if you want it in potted form, it's on the main piece.

12.10 Sedgefield

Hard not to see Bahama Moon run his race, given he's got a lot going for him here but if he does blow out, there's a couple of outsiders in Domestic Diva and Northern Sky I quite like. Surprised to see the former priced up at 33s, given she ran perfectly well at Uttoxeter last time and only gave best between the last two, and Northern Sky likes a bit of cut and surely wouldn't be travelling over from Ireland for a bit of fresh air.

12.40 Sedgefield

No heroics needed here, it looks between the front four in the market and of those, Thosedaysaregone looks the most likely if he can repeat his Listowel form from September. In fact, he could run to the level of either of his last two starts too and probably hit the frame. He can go in as a banker.

1.10 Sedgefield

A chance to get a favourite out of the frame, as I'm far from convinced Troubled Soul will be effective back on soft and it's worth looking elsewhere. I've always thought Inch Lala would make a good chaser and she has to go in, but I could see outsider Ringaringarosie going well from the front – I thought she jumped really well on her Hexham debut and if she settles a bit better here, could last out. Trooblue finished just in front of her at Hexham and is worth putting in too, given the favourite is very beatable.

1.40 Sedgefield

Another race where I disagree with the market, as the three I like are all outsiders. Relkadam ran nicely at Wetherby against a couple of good ones and a drop in the weights is a welcome bonus. The ground won't be a problem and he's my number one choice. I'll back him up with Drums Of War in the hope he's fit, as he's a C&D winner that should have more to offer this term and Ex S'Elence, who has been put in as a 50-1 shot but he is actually progressing a bit and could hit the frame here.

2.15 Sedgefield

This could turn into a right stamina test and that might not suit a few. It shouldn't bother Socksy though, a winner at Towcester in heavy ground last year and now back in a grade she's won in before. She looks solid. Travertine will stay but the ground is a bit of a concern, so I suppose you have to go with Lac Sacre, hard to win with but always on the premises and the ground won't be an issue.

2.50 Sedgefield

Last leg, and hard to see how we're going to get either Schiehallion Munro or The Big Galloper out of the frame, given there's a couple of outsiders than make little appeal and I have a feeling Flemens Story is going to need the run. Hopefully the damage will have been done in the middle races of the six and this (if we're still in!) should be a coast home.

If you just want the one then I'm trying Domestic Diva in the first at 12.10 (each-way).

I'll put two Colossuses up at 10am this morning for you to join, if you want to!

Good luck with all your bets today,
