Wet Wincanton

Good morning all,

Have decided that a long drive and a day of getting wet through (and a whole host of non-runners come racetime, no doubt) isn't really my idea of a good time today so have sacked Wincanton off, and will be happy to watch on the TV this afternoon.

As ever on a Saturday, my views on the main TV races – hopefully there's a winner or two in there, but do bear in mind the ground is only going to get worse as the day progresses and as with last week, the longer you can hold on to place your bets today the better. Read More »Wet Wincanton

Bits And Pieces

Good morning all,

Quiet day today with a visit to Uttoxeter for me, where I'll be working. But looking at the weather for tonight and into tomorrow morning, there's plenty of rain coming and that will change things. As such, might be a little later posting tomorrow morning as I want to see what the damage is rain wise before I put the Saturday selections up.

Not much to say today so just a couple of observations from Fakenham on Wednesday and also some Breeders Cup selections for tonight from the London Racing Club, reproduced with the kind permission of my friend Kate Austen. I'll also post their Saturday selections up tomorrow too. Read More »Bits And Pieces

Cheltenham and Doncaster

Good morning all,

More of the same today as Cheltenham stage the second day of the Showcase meeting. Sadly a couple of the races have cut up badly but there's still more than enough to get stuck into.

Doncaster stage the Racing Post Trophy as well, and with a competitive card at Newbury there's something for everyone today.

My thoughts on a few of the TV races on the main piece.Read More »Cheltenham and Doncaster
