Nick Hardman Racing Tips

We have a bit of a mixed bag this Friday with a couple of interesting runners from the cards at Newbury and Sedgefield, a qualifier from the All-Weather Trainers To Follow over at the Betting School Community forum and finally a trends analysis of the Listed Mares’ Hurdle from Newbury on Saturday.

First up we head to Newbury for today’s racing.

Nicky Henderson has a fine recent record at the track and since 2013 his runners are 25-84 (30% strike rate) for a level stakes profit of £11.50. His hurdlers in non-handicap races are 15-37 (41% strike rate) and 9 of the last 20 have won.

His best chances on the card appear to lie in the opener with Champagne Express.Read More »Nick Hardman Racing Tips

Free Horse Racing Software

I'm just playing with the Puntology Horse Racing Ratings software and I had a look at the first race at Taunton.

Here's the ratings of the top three in the race…

It's a Close Call – 250
Whatthebutlersaw – 73
Final Nudge – 31

I was very surprised to see that It's a Close Call is 177 points clear of the second highest rating.

So I went to check the prices expecting It's a Close Call to be 1/5 favourite but no this gelding is available at 5/6, I'm going to have a little of that.

The Puntology software which you can get for free today is so easy to use.

All you have to do is click on the race you want to assess and up pops a screen with a rating for every runner.

Not every race is as clear cut as todays 2.15 at Taunton but it does give you an instant analysis of every race and can really speed up your selection process.

You can get the software free today and it will run on PC or Mac.

Sound Investment (adv. 11/2) gave us another big race winner last week and today we turn our attention to a couple of trainers with an excellent recent record at Ayr as well as a trends based analysis of the Imperial Cup at Sandown on Saturday.

The first of our trainers to note at Ayr is Nicky Richards.  Since the beginning of 2014 he has sent out 13 winners from 34 runners at a strike rate of 38% and a level stakes profit of £12.25.  Even more impressive is the fact he has had 5 winners from 11 runners in 2015 for a level stakes profit of £10.72.  12 of those winners have been ridden by Brian Harding and this trainer/ jockey combination have a few entries today.Read More »Nick Hardman Tips
