Just A Quickie

Good morning all,

Struggling for time today so apologies for a very brief post, detailing one I like at Sandown later this afternoon.

Will be back tomorrow with a full guide for the TV racing, assuming it all survives the cold snap!

A tricky card at Sandown today, but I'm happy to wait until the last for a bet with Cheer's Delboy, who has twice caught the eye recently in novice events and this really does look the time to catch him, with Robin Dickin, in the winner wilderness for so long, having four winners so far this week.

I saw him at Cheltenham when he took on Slate House and company, and he definitely shaped better than the bare result there. Given an educational ride at the back, he stayed on nicely under hands and heels in the closing stages to finish within shouting distance of some useful sorts.

Warwick last time out saw him go from the front, and he lasted out a long time (still bang there two out, travelling better than many that were a shorter price than he was in the betting) before getting a bit tired late on. It was hands and heels again there, just nursed home once his chance had gone, but it just backed up the impression you got from Cheltenham.

Into handicaps on what looks a workable mark today then, and as I say, with Robin Dickin discovering the magic touch in the last few days, that can only increase confidence.

Today's selection – Cheer's Delboy 3.35 Sandown
