Inside today’s main piece I’m very much projecting forward. I have some eyecatcher’s with the Spring Festival’s in mind and a selection for Saturday’s Imperial Cup at Sandown.  Plus, I look at two races from day two of the Cheltenham Festival and I have a selection from this afternoon’s meeting at Exeter.

Made it to Friday on my previews for Cheltenham, and probably my best-ante post bet of the week so far after last weekend.

Next Friday I'll give you my thoughts on the handicaps, and possibly a quick update on any other bets I've unearthed.

I can’t get away without mentioning that picture. A picture everyone hoped had been photo-shopped.  Sadly, it hadn't, it was all too real.

Gordon Elliott sitting on a dead horse like it was chaise longue sickened and appalled me. As I’m sure it did all right-minded people who love the sport of horse racing. Indeed I have struggled to get that sick and callous picture out my head today.
