Hi all,
If you haven’t had an enough racing for the week ITV4 are covering seven races live from Sky Bet Sunday Series card at Pontefract latter this afternoon. It’s a competitive card as you would expect and one, where a dabble at the placepot could pay dividends.
I see Tom Segal is having a go at the placepot in the Racing Post and for a bit of fun I have decided to do the same given there’s a £100,000 guaranteed pool on offer.
Pontefract
3:45 – I will be disappointed if the Ralph Beckett likely favourite Whoop Whoop can’t hit the frame in the first.
4:15 – Recent Doncaster winner Shimmering Sands is going the right way and can go close again. My second selection is Highwaygrey who has won four times over C&D. He isn’t the easiest to win with. However, he's now 1lb below his last winning mark and will be suited by the forecast strong pace.
4:45 – Caius Chorister has a good drawn in stall one for a front runner and can go close in this 1m 4f Listed contest.
5:15 – Adamaris looks on a workable mark on his first start for his inform new trainer.
5:45 – Haseefah who looks to be returning to winning form and Bollin Margaret who has gone well on her last two starts are the picks for this 1m 4f handicap.
6:15 – Star Player was a below form when 7th of 14 at Sandown on seasonal return/stable debut for Kevin Philippart de Foy. and should do better with that run under his belt. Tasever was a ½ length 2nd of 6 over C&D 13 days ago and should be in the mix once more.
