More Perth Profits?

Our Gordon Elliott approach paid off again yesterday with two winners at 7/1 and 2/1 from 7 runners for a 4 point profit for a 57% return on the days investment.

Gordon Elliott has another 7 runners today, there are a couple of interesting factors that might effect your decision to bet.

First off Tico ran yesterday, started favourite and finished 23 lengths last.

The high level stats for all horses running in National Hunt races one day after their last race is 13% strike rate from 583 that have tried in the last 10 years.

The strike rate for Gordon Elliott trained runners that have run after one day is 23%.

The strike rate for horses that ran one day ago in a hurdle and today run in a chase is 20% with a 62% ROI.

Gordon Elliott has done this twice and one of those runners won.

Before I looked at the stats I was thinking I would drop Tico from my days bets, but having checked the numbers I think I’ll leave him in.

The other runner that stands out is Crown Theatre at 40/1.

Gordon Elliott has had 18 runners at Perth that started at 22/1 or bigger, none have won!

Here is the full list of runners, so let’s see if we can build on yesterdays profits…

Gordon Elliott Perth Selections

Today a reminder of the recent article by Mark Foley of Betting School Insiders.

You no doubt recall that Mark highlighted that Gordon Elliott does very well with the horses he ferries over to Perth and that so far this year if you just backed all of the Elliott horses that run at Perth you would have made a tidy SP profit.

The 2014 stats for all Gordon Elliott, Perth starts are as follows…

Runs = 38
Wins = 15
Strike rate = 39
Profit at industry SP = 25.2
Return on Investment = 66.32%

Today Elliott has 7 runners, two in the 15:00, they all have chances and are all trading towards the head of their markets.

Hopefully we’ll have a good day…

Performance Review

Today I’m going to have a little catch up on some of the angles we’ve looked at recently.

Starting off with September Trainers.

You’ll remember on the 3rd of this month we published a list of trainers to follow in September.

After 11 days we have had 20 bets, 3 wins and a profit at industry SP of 1.5 points.

The Betfair SP profit is a slightly juicier 4.55 after commission which is a 22% ROI.

Mark Foley’s Gordon Elliott angle got of to a cracking start with a 7/1 winner on the day we published and 3 winners from 4 on the second day.

My stats may have steered readers away from the odds on selections but either way great profit was made and this is one to follow going forward.

The next Perth meeting is on the 24th and 25th of September.

Finally it is Chester tomorrow and although the low draws will be bet in the sprints you’ll remember that our previous articles have shown that horses drawn 1 and 2 have a definite advantage on the 11 and 12 furlong races also.

This advantage is overlooked or not known by the majority of punters and is a source of value bets for us.

This article goes into the detail http://dailypunt.com/chester-draw-bias-2/
