Racing and Footy Tips

Following on from last week's winning footy bet I have another for you from Football Forecasts, I also have the finalised selection from Josh Wright for the December Gold Cup.

But first as always a reminder to make your free Super 6 entry for a chance to win £250,000.

And just to confirm, you don't need to deposit any cash to make your free entry.

My pal who has no interest in betting has a Skybet account that has never seen a penny of cash, but he does his Super 6 each week.

West Ham v Stoke City

On Course Profits free Horse Racing magazine

West Ham may have been unfortunate not to beat United at Old Trafford last week, but their away form has been far better than in front of their home fans; their only two home wins have come against relegation threatened Newcastle and Chelsea.

I’m surprised to see United start this games as Favourites considering Winston Reid and Victor Moses have joined West Ham's lengthy injury list, The Hammers are already without Dimitri Payet, Diafra Sakho and Manuel Lanzini, although Enner Valencia could return. The fact that the bookies make them favourites is even more surprising when you consider that Stoke have taken 10 points from their last five games, while the Hammers have managed just three points in that time as the injuries to key players have taken their toll.

Three of the Hammers last four home games have ended either 1-1 or 2-2 and the Hammers have scored at least one goal in all of their home games, Bilic likes to play the West ham way, the problem is that only Newcastle have failed to score at Upton Park this season.

Stoke were outstanding against Man City last week with a scintillating display that could quite easily have been a four or five goal rout, so much for the 1-0 to the boys in Red chant. City and Chelsea have failed to score against them and they have kept 5 clean sheets in their last 7 league games, if anyone is going to stop The Hammers from scoring at home at the moment it’s Stoke.

80% of Stoke City's games have had under 2.5 goals in total and I can see this ending 1-1 or Stoke pinching it by the odd goal.

My bets:

Correct score 1-1: BetVictor 6/1

Correct score 0-1 BetVictor 17/2

Selections.

Little Jon – 1 point win 8/1 Bet Victor

Art Mauresque – 1 point win 16/1 Skybet

I backed Art Mauresque LTO and I am going to keep the faith with him here. I don’t think the rain helped him LTO and with the ground likely to be a tad firmer (I believe there is ‘good’ in the description somewhere!) I expect a better showing. The jockey gets on well with him and there is a chance he could get an uncontested lead here, or at least be well positioned. His win two starts ago was very impressive and although he needs to step up, there is surely plenty more to come from him.

Little Jon has a decent profile for this race based past winners and I think it is always good to back something with a different formline in a race where a lot of the runners faced each other LTO. There was promise last season but he is starting to come into his own now it would appear and his jumping was much better LTO. He is young, progressive, and I suspect will relish the climb up the hill. I don’t think he will be too far away and a double figure price underestimates his chance somewhat. In a race that may not be strongly run he should also be in the right place.

Clearly you could make some sort of case for plenty more in here. Buywise is Buywise and will probably come late and hard again – they may not go quick enough and he looks like a horse that a jockey ‘needs to know’ and with Wedge taking over that could be a concern. Annacotty may want it softer and will have to improve again on his last run, but that is not out of the question. Irish Cavalier comes from a stable that has only had 12 runners in the last month – this suggests they think something is up with the string. He has a chance albeit there were not many excuses last time. Village Vic needs to step up on what he has done to date as this will be tougher than recent assignments.

These two should give us a run for our money and hopefully I can get on the board with one of them.

Good Luck
