I've just been reading an interesting article that looks at the stats for trainers that have two runners in the same race.
Before I talk about that though I must just mention Mark Foley's Trainer Trends again.
Did you get his free bet on Saturday, it won, as did his selection yesterday at 5/2.
Mark has been in profit all year, but is on a real surge at the moment and we need to ride these waves of profit – http.trainertrends.co.uk.
So back to the trainers with more than one runner in a race.
The Betting Insiders report this month investigates double handed trainers and has found that for some trainers you can just blindly back both horses when they have two in a race and can make a profit.
The headline act is Henry Cecil who has a 19.9% strike rate from those races where he has two runners.
Another who caught my eye was Roger Charlton who has a lower strike rate but a massive 63% return on investment from his races with two runners.
The article goes on to look at profitable trainers in detail and is well worth a read – http://bettinginsiders.com
