The Trainer Stats Recap

Yesterday's Betting Insiders Club Portfolio racing tip was a winner being backed in to 15/8F.

Today Nick from the Betting Insiders team is today giving us a recap of some of the trainer stats for today's racing over at Hamilton and Ffos Las.

Last week’s post was frustrating as our pick for the Ebor turned out to be a non-runner. This week we look at some more trainer statistics and also have a recap on some of the trainer stats we have covered in the past.

David Brown has an excellent recent record at Hamilton. In the last 2 years he has sent out 6 winners from 14 runners at a strike rate of 43% and recorded a level stakes profit of £14.00. This year his runners are 4-11 (which is still a healthy 36% strike rate) and backing all 11 runners would have returned a profit of £8.00 to £1 stakes.

At the time of writing his Friday entries are Sir Jack Layden and Henry Morgan.

Good old favourites…

Yeah I know this is a subject I turn back to now and then.

The reason for why is that I am running a number of systems that follow favourites.

It’s true they are not the easiest systems to make money from but they do have some advantages…

Firstly you don’t have to wait around to long for a winner.

Although all favourites win around 36% of the time with a bit of filtering it is not hard to get this figure a little higher.

Yankee revisited…

Sorry I was meant to carry on talking about the lay system this week but I still haven’t got everything in place so I thought I would revisit the “Yankee” trial instead.

I do a lot of “open testing” which is where I give people the chance to watch systems for anywhere from a few weeks to months and in some cases longer.

I first introduced the “Yankee” selections in May of this year.

So I thought as we have had them available for almost 3 months it would be a good time to see what has been happening.

To be honest the trial has been a little up and down but you would expect this with selections that are trying to win an 11 bet multiple.

A “Yankee” consists of 6 doubles, 4 trebles and a fourfold accumulator.

They don’t all have to win to make a profit but when they do it can be a tasty return.

Yesterday’s selections were a good example.

17:10 Wolv Borough Boy – Won 5/6
17:35 Worc Lord Lir – Won 3/1
18:05 Worc Oscara Dara – Won 2/5
20:35 Worc Canicallyouback – Won 8/15 Won

They weren’t all big winners but the Yankee would have returned £653.67 at £10 stakes.Read More »Yankee revisited…
