David is on his travels this week, but he has left us his 100 and under horses to follow for the coming week's and months.

Here are the first of David's horses to follow.
Cross Of Steel (Jennie Candlish)
We’ve not seen a lot from Cross Of Steel so far, but then again, that is hardly a surprise given he’s been basically campaigned with a handicap mark in mind. He’s a full brother to the very useful Cross Kennon, who was also trained by Candlish, and was at his very best when ploughing through the mud and grinding the opposition into submission. Watch for him once the ground is heavy, and ideally, he will want a step up in trip.
L’Attendue (Phil Kirby)
Has already won a race, that coming at Sedgefield over 2m4f last March, where she just about made all the running and found plenty after the last to go away again. She was disappointing on her final start of last year when well beaten at Newcastle, but I wouldn’t hold that against her, and it will be a surprise if she can’t win a couple more from a low-looking mark. Good ground probably essential.
My Mums Posh (Peter Niven)
Has dropped a couple of hints that she has some ability in a couple of maiden hurdles but we are surely not going to see the best of her until she gets much more of a trip. Plenty of you will remember the dam, Posh Bird (hence the name), who stayed all day long – she won a North Yorkshire Grand National – and that gives us an idea as to when we might see the best of her. Be interesting to see how long connections take before putting her over a fence…
Wild Eve (Tim Vaughan)
Goes in as she’s caught my eye a couple of times without threatening, and I keep thinking there’s a bad race in her somewhere. Of more interest is the fact she’s moved from Mark Rimell to Tim Vaughan, who seems to do rather well with these sorts and I’ll be surprised if he can’t find a race or two for her. 2m4f-3m looks her trip.
Today's selection is Espalion in the 3.00 at Exeter
