You can set a bet to back or lay. And set a stake and a minimum and maximum price.

You can also set the stake as a percent of your balance and have various options around what price you take.

In the horse racing markets prices can be automatically adjusted to account for any withdrawals and bets can be taken in play if not matched before the off.
