Today we have a horse racing system which has been shared by the Total Betting Club. I'll hand you over to their Editor…
The Total Betting Club – we like to believe it is a one-of-a-kind place on the web – inside the members’ area we all strive to find unique, winning betting systems that can be used with ease by amateur and more experienced bettors alike. Such a system was created some time back in the club’s history that looked specifically at Maiden races on the Flat. We looked at the results we had seen over many months and applied some logical rules to create a winning formula:
Here are the rules we eventually settled for:
1. Check out the form of all horses in Maiden races on the flat and single out the 2 horses with the best last time out form. If one was 2nd LTO and the next best was a 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, or even 9th then fine, still bet 1 point on this one also.
2. If two horses share the top form then fine once again. These 2 will be bet on with 1 point each.
3. If there is 1 clear with the best form and the next best shares the same LTO position with one other then bet all 3 horses. If apart from the one best horse there were other 3 horses sharing the same LTO position then just do the best horse.
4. If the best horse has a LTO placing of either 2-9 (form number) and all of the others have a zero or an ‘L’ then just stick to the best horse. Finally, if there are only 1 or 2 horses who have run before and all of the horses are first time out then just stick with the ones who have run before, just as long as they are not zeros or ‘L’s.
5. From the short-listed horses, only play the ones that are 5/1 and over.
6. Disregard Sundays
Essentially we were looking at this from a form-based perspective and it kind of makes sense when you think about it. Generally those that are fancied are the ones with previous form and experience – the higher the last time out position, the better.

As a piece of general advice – it is important also not to see a system as 100% untouchable because a few tweaks here or there may improve it greatly. Perhaps one small change such as stopping at a winner or implementing a small staking plan can improve returns. Try to think laterally when playing with a system and never see it as the finished article because there will always come a time when results take a dip in form and a slight amendment could really help.
