Last Saturday’s racing wasn’t the strongest in terms of quality, but it was certainly competitive. I won’t knock the “Go North” Finals Weekend—it's a great initiative that provides valuable prize money for horses who wouldn’t usually get the chance to race for such sums. It was also a good Saturday for trainer Lucinda Russell.

Kelso Saturday Preview

Hi all,

The ITV cameras head to Kelso for five races on Day 2 of the “Go North” Finals Weekend, including three more series finals. Newbury also stages its final jumps card of the 2024-25 season, with ITV covering the first three races live, plus one from Bangor-On-Dee, making it a nine-race programme.

Go North Finals: Musselburgh Preview

It was great to be out in the garden yesterday on a glorious spring day. The sunshine and warmth won’t last, so it was good to make the most of it while it’s here

The three-day Ladbrokes-sponsored ‘Go North’ Finals kick off at Musselburgh today. This series, spread across Musselburgh, Kelso, and Carlisle, aims to highlight the best of Northern jumps racing. With decent prize money on offer, it should provide some good action over the next few days.
