Greyhound Bitches System

I'm running a bit behind today so I'll just quickly update you on the Greyhound Bitches system.

I plan to run a series of articles later in the summer that will look at all aspects of finding winning greyhounds, but this system is more of a quick way to find potential winners. And so far the rules are not finalised or fully tested.

But I want to share the idea with you.

So basically we know that 16 weeks after a bitch has been in season she will improve suddenly from her recent form back to her best.

A few years ago when I had a lot more time I did some research that found that you could just follow these bitches for their next 3 runs after the 16th week and make a small profit.

What I'm trying to do is to add a few rules that will improve the profit.

So currently the basic rule is to find a bitch at the appropriate time in her cycle who has performed and won at a higher level than todays opponents.

We have an example today in the form of Fivestar Pupil in the Sheffield 11.28.

This bitch is 16 weeks and 3 days out of season and runs in an A6 race today.

Back on 28th February she won an A5 after finding some trouble in running.

I prefer it when they are not fancied by the Racing Post because you can then get a value bet, this one is the 9/4 favourite which puts me off a bit.

But that is the strategy. If you are doing any work yourself on any betting system then I'd love to hear about it.

  1. Sorry but the greyhound mentioned finished 5th there were
4 bitches in the race and one of them won I followed a bitch at Sheffield called oasis after 16 weeks it only won about a week ago along while after her supposed best time 4 running this tells me that the track doesn’t suit some bitches.
Many thanks 4 your continued information.

  2. As they run every week why would a bitch suddenly improve from 15 to 16 weeks. Might be worth looking at ones coming back from their first season. I have owned 2 that dramatically improved after that first season.
