If you are serious about your betting and want to get started on the right footing with a reasonable bank then one of the best things to do is to take advantage of bookmaker bonus offers.
There is always free money available from the bookies to encourage you to open an account.
And this free money can be a great way to try out a system or method.
Of course if you do happen to be very successful then sooner or later bookmakers will start limiting your accounts.
But that's a problem for another day. And if you have that problem then you are probably well on your way to success. Happy Days!
One that will give you up to £200 is ACbet. This one is a 20% bonus so you will have to deposit £1,000 to get the £200. Unfortunately they only bet on sports, not horse racing. Probably not suitable for most readers, but I mention them because they claim they will never restrict your account.
Stan James will give you up to £150, but to get the maximum you need to be making bets with £10 stakes. As you make bets they will add funds to your account of matching amounts.
You need to be aware that there are terms and conditions with all these offers and there are always hoops to jump through.
There are a whole host of other offers, but they are primarily matched bet offers. So for example to get a free £50 bet you have to make a £50 bet.
These offers are ok if you are going to arb the offer at Betfair and get the money that way, but not so good if you want to try out a new strategy with say £5 stakes.
If you are sensible these offers are always worthwhile and most serious bettors will go through a full set of accounts to squeeze out the maximum benefit.
And many will go through them all more than once 😉

Soul Magic 5.10 Carlisle 1pt win @ 15`2 Bet Victor
In great form over the summer with 4 wins including a romp on today`s going. Had a break since and this looks a weak race compared to the one he ran in when last seen ( beat a couple of subsequent multiple winners )
Funny you should promote Bet365 because they not only dishonour teir promise of a matched ‘free bet’ they even steal your money.
To avail of such an offer several months ago I opened an account with them, deposited a trial £15, placed a bet (which won)
The deposit was instantly whisked from my account with the bank details I provided. However all subsuquent attempt to access the account were denied as they supposedly lacked my personal details. They quoted some spurious rquirement KYC (know your customer) This seemed not to matter when then were debiting my card, but suddenly it was critical to know personal details I would only share with those I both know well and trust.
Despite repeated email requests and calls to their ‘helpline’ I have been ignored and cannot get my money back.
Do you really think you should be promoting these shysters?
Hi Tom
I opened an account recently and deposited £200 and the matching £200 is in my account. So far everything is going ok.
If I get problems I’ll report back.
Dave
I must say that I am very surprised at that Tom. I have had problems with bookies but never with Bet365, the KYC is a requirement like opening a bank account, That you are on the level and over 18. As far as I can remember it only takes a photocopy of your drivers licence or passport and possibly a bill with an address. From their point of view they can’t have people opening multiple accounts getting multiple bonuses also they have a legal requirement that you are over 18 and not in a country that does not allow gambling.
I too have taken the the Bet365 200 offer and have found no problems with the firm. They strike me as efficient.
